Hydroseeding

Centaland is committed to revegetating areas to reduce erosion and stabilize exposed soils for land reclamation, forestry sites, construction, earthworks. Whilst also creating lush turf areas for landscaping, roadsides, or residential areas. 

Hydroseed slurry contains refined wood-mulch, high analysis immediate and slow release NPK fertilisers, certified grass seed blends specific to the areas being applied and polymer binders to assist with helping the slurry stick steep slopes. It is applied through a specialized applicator hose or cannon with spray nozzles. The blend of seeds and mix is defined by the soil type and climate of the area being applied designed to germinate quickly to stabilize the area but also thrive in the long term. Or if for a lush green residential lawn area, the seed mix is usually defined by the customers desires.

The blanket of slurry achieves almost immediate erosion control of the site once it has dried as exposed soil is protected from wind and moderate rainfall erosion. The seed is protected and maintained in an ideal environment in the wood mulch to germinate as moisture is retained in the mulch and soluble fertilisers begin to work in the soils below. This can be used for land reclamation, sediment control, erosion control as fibrous root systems hold soil in place, revegetation of low fertility substrates, turf for home lawns, roadsides, construction, forestry, earthworks.

Hydro-centasoil

When hydro-centasoil (Spray on Biotic Soil Media) is used in conjunction with hydroseeding on low fertility substrates, ideally for steep and difficult areas where it is not cost effective to spread a topsoil layer over top. It provides a guaranteed layer of growing media that is high in organic matter for the seeds to germinate into and establish well over time. It supplies an abundant amount of soil building components which assists the development of the poor soils.

Hydro-centasoil layer + Hydroseed layer = Establishment of vegetation on challenging substrates like clay cuts, slips, deep excavations, low fertility substrates as seen in the image below.

Hydro Site-Loc

Creates a durable, flexible, UV stabilized, waterproof skin over free-flowing unbound surfaces like soil as it binds all the particles together under the crust. Ideal for stockpiles or bare areas you aren’t working that require erosion control, but you don’t want to revegetate. One coat of this, if undisturbed, can last 6 and up to 12 months. Great for over holiday periods as well, i.e when a water truck and staff are required to keep dust down.
