Engineer / Mechanic / C5 Driver Versatile Package

Fabrication engineer - constructing new equipment - and heavy vehicle mechanic, including hydraulics, servicing the complete Centaland vehicle and machinery fleet.

Centaland have a excellent full workshop facility with a pit and are consistently modernizing all the concepts of the engineering and maintenance side. A modern mobile service vehicle compliments this and that would become the successful applicant vehicle to use as a rule.

To be a versatile welder on steel, aluminum, and stainless with certification is preferred, but if not training can be given.

To be proficient on servicing of vehicles and machinery. Centaland operate a range of various types and are proactive on all servicing and care of the gear.

To have gained a Class 5 with endorsement FWTR license and preferably DG's so can assist part time on the operation of our Drop Sider Tipper Nine Axle Unit and Bulk Tipping Units line haul and local, tanker truck and trailer, a lowbed transporter truck, spreader trucks-tractors and compost spreader in our vineyard spreading role, small trucks on local, excavators, rollers, hydro seeders, our dust control trucks, and also sales in our landscape and garden, fertiliser and stock feed sales in our retail yard if required.

• Full-time day shift role, occasional weekend work, and harvest work (may require nights).

• Can load and unload trucks and trailers with a loader, forklift, or tractor.

• Can cover, tarp, tie-down, or chain loads securely.

• Willingness to be versatile across the board of the Centaland operations.

• Offer skills and experience you already have, help train others and be keen to learn new skills yourself.

• Demonstrate low-risk decision-making to avoid damage in every scenario possible.

• Demonstrate a practical health and safety-conscious attitude and understand HMPV permits.

• Show pride, care and maintain good upkeep of the gear through cleaning and light maintenance.

• Maintain good rapport with clients and work well alongside team members and suppliers.

• Tidy appearance, punctual, detail-orientated and reasonable physical fitness.
